Welcome to Ohlone College! We are honored that you have chosen to pursue your education at Ohlone. If you need any assistance with your application, please contact the Office of Admissions and Records. You may reach us at admissions@ohlone.edu or 510-659-6100.
Tips for Submitting an Online Application
Ohlone communicates with students primarily via e-mail. Please be sure and check that the Spam filter on your Internet provider does not filter out ohlone.edu messages.
RESIDENCY: If you have not lived in California for the last two years or are not a U.S. citizen, you are required to show proper documentation to the Office of Admissions and Records before your application can be completed and you can register for classes.
If you do not have a Social Security Number or do not wish to disclose that number online, please do not submit an online application. Instead submit a paper application which is available online at http://www.ohlone.edu/org/admissions/forms/appforadmission.pdf.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, please be sure to bring your immigration documentation to the Office of Admissions and Records.
The Office of Admissions and Records is located on the Fremont campus in Building 7, second floor, quad level, and on the Newark campus in the Student Services Center in NC1312 on the first floor.
STUDENT TYPE: When you apply you will need to identify your student type (for example, first time student, returning student, etc). If you have attended ANY other college, you are classified as a Transfer. If you are in a Kindergarten-12th grade at the time you intend to be enrolled at Ohlone College, you are classified as SPECIAL or SP student. (Special students should refer to the additional instructions towards the end of this message.)
PROCESSING TIME: Currently online applications are downloaded every 1-3 business days. After you have submitted your application, you will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail message welcoming you to Ohlone if your application is complete. This e-mail will communicate relevant information for you to review prior to the next step in the process.
If your application is incomplete, you will receive a different e-mail message that will inform you what is required.
STUDENT ID: The confirmation e-mail will include your Student ID Number, instructions on how to register for classes, and other important information. If you do not receive your Student ID Number by e-mail, please contact Admissions and Records at (510) 659-6100 or admissions@ohlone.edu.
Please visit the Admissions and Records Web site at http://www.ohlone.edu/org/admissions to become familiar with the policies and procedures of Ohlone College.

Please be advised that Kindergarten-12th grade students are required to submit Permission Forms every term. Kindergarten-9th grade applicants who are not 13 years of age at the time of application CANNOT submit an online application. Students under 13 years of age must submit a paper application.
