Welcome to the MiraCosta College Online Application site. We hope you'll find our online application to be a convenient resource, and we thank you for choosing MiraCosta College as a destination for your higher education.

Please be aware that regulations require that an online application may only be submitted by the student. At the point of submission you will be affirming that the application data belongs only to you. Submitting an application for another person is not allowed.

YOUR STUDENT ID WILL NOT BE MAILED. YOU MUST RETRIEVE YOUR OWN ID THROUGH OUR SURF SYSTEM OR IN PERSON.

We are currently accepting online applications for the Spring 2009 (1/20/2008-5/22/2009) semester. We are currently processing Spring 2009 applications. Processing time is approximately 2-3 working days. After we process your application, you will need to retrieve your SURF ID and Password by going to the surf.miracosta.edu website. You will be asked a series of questions which will allow you to obtain your ID and set up a password. If you do not submit your social security number, we will assign and mail a substitute number that will be needed to obtain your SURF ID online - OR - you may come to A&R and by showing a picture identification, you may obtain your SURF ID number.

Enrollment for Spring 2009 classes will not begin until December for new and returning students. Most new Spring 2009 applicants will be eligible to enroll on December 15th. If you complete our matriculation process, you could earn an earlier enrollment appointment.

Some applicants may need to provide additional material to complete the application. Examples of these types of applicants include high school students and recent California residents. These applicants will be contacted by mail to provide any additional paperwork. If you have questions, contact Admission & Records at 760-795-6620 or 760-634-7870

Complete this online application. After you are finished, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column of the application and follow the directions.
NO FEES are charged for a California Community College admission application. Fees may be charged for the additional international application from each campus.
REQUEST official transcripts from previous schools attended be sent to the records office at the address below.

How to Use the MiraCosta College Online Application

To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the [Next] button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the [Submit] button located on the left column to submit the application.
