Welcome to Golden West College and thank you for using our online application.

 

(If you have a CSUMentor account, use it for CCCApply as well.)

 

If you've already submitted an online application, please DO NOT create a new account and apply again as this will delay the processing of your original application.  Please sign in using the user name and password you established the first time you signed in.  If you forgot your Username and password, please call 1-800-GO-TO-XAP.

 

For International students (those requiring an F-1 Visa) please click here  for application information.  Please do not use this application.

 

Ø       New and returning students, regardless of their educational background and goal, must apply for admission. 

 

Ø       Continuing students (those who are registered in classes for the spring 2012 semester) do NOT need to reapply for summer or fall 2012

 

If you need financial assistance, apply for financial aid at the time of the application (you’ll be given an opportunity to apply at the end of this application.) 

 

High School Students – Concurrently enrolled High School Students may use the online application, but must submit an approved K-12 Special form before registering for classes.  Forms and instructions may be downloaded from the Golden West College website 

 

Nursing - Please note that an additional paper application is required for this program.  Please click here to obtain detailed information.

 

Note:  It is important to submit your application at least 10 working days prior to the start date of the class to allow for processing and return of your MyGWC login information and registration appointment.

 

Summer & Fall 2012

GWC is accepting applications for the summer/fall 2012 terms.

Students applying for summer/fall 2012 will be assigned an appointment for both terms.

 

Summer 2012 - Classes begin June 18th

Fall 2012 term dates - August 27 - December 14, 2012

 

*Apply early for the best appointment time.  Late applicants may experience delays in registration and limited class availability.

 

E-MAIL:  Golden West College is making every effort to communicate with students by sending correspondence through e-mail.  We advise you to check your e-mail account often, as the information we may send will often be time sensitive.   

 

Important Information:  Once you submit your online application, you’ll receive an email immediately (sent to the email address you supplied on your application) confirming successful submission of your application.  Please make sure to read all the email you receive regarding your application.  Additional information will be sent via email and mail once we begin processing your application.

 

 Note:  If your email address is incorrect you will not receive a confirmation of your application or instructions as to what you need to do to complete the admissions process.  Some Internet Service Providers filter mail from the Coast Community College District so please check your trash/spam folder if you don't receive an email response within 2-3 days of submitting your application.  You can avoid this by adding GWCAdmissions@cccd.edu and GWCAdmissions@gwc.cccd.edu to your Friendly Approved Senders list.  This is especially important if you use providers such as AOL, Yahoo, Earthlink, MSN, Hotmail, or Roadrunner and/or you use spam filters.

How to Use the Golden West College Online Application
To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the [Next] button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the [Submit] button located on the left column to submit the application.
