Sacramento City College, part of the Los Rios Community College District, is an open access institution that provides educational opportunities in the greater Sacramento region. Founded in 1916 as a Department of Sacramento High School, SCC is the seventh oldest public community college in California and the oldest institution of higher learning in Sacramento. The faculty and staff of the College will join with both potential and current students to help them identify their educational needs, provide personal, financial and educational planning and assistance, and explore and pursue a wide array of learning opportunities.
