We highly encourage you to use your Social Security number as your I.D. number.  This will enable you to access registration sooner, to apply for finanical aid, and to claim the education tax credit.

Admission applications are accepted April 1 for the fall/summer terms and October 1 for the spring term.  You need to apply for admission if you have never attended Cuesta College or are a former student who has been absent two or more semesters.

Students wishing to enroll in the special programs listed below may have additional admission requirements.  Click on the following program links for more information:

Spring and Summer 2008 applicants will receive a printed welcome letter within 5-7 working days.  Fall 2008 applicants will receive a welcome letter within 1-2 weeks.  Both Summer and Fall 2008 schedules will be available online at www.cuesta.edu. 

 

Review the Apply and Register web site for information on steps to complete prior to registering such as submitting official transcripts, assessment testing, and orientation.

 

ONLINE REGISTRATION:

Students whose Spring and Summer 2008 applications have been processed may access "Status Check" in PAWS to obtain their registration date and time.

 

Once a class is closed (full) or the Friday before classes begin, you will need the instructor’s permission to add a class by obtaining an add code or the instructor’s signature on an Add/Drop Card.

 

Online registration is available:

  • beginning end of November for Spring 2008 in WEBReg (PAWS)
  • beginning end of April for Summer 2008 in WEBReg (PAWS)
  • beginning end of June for Fall 2008 in myCuesta

WALK-IN REGISTRATION:

Students may register in-person the week prior to the start of the term.   Walk-in registration dates are posted on the Registration Office web site.   Full payment is due at walk-in registration by either cash, check, or credit card.

Application Instructions

  • Complete this online application. After you are finished, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column of the application and follow the directions.
  • NO FEES are charged for a California Community College admission application. Fees may be charged for the additional international application from each campus.
  • REQUEST official transcripts from previous schools attended be sent to the records office at the address below.
  • INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS must complete this application and Cuesta’s international student application at academic.cuesta.edu/admrreg/intrinfo.htm.
  • New First-Time College Students and Re-Entry Students are encouraged to attend Great Start assessment, orientation, and registration dates. Apply first then sign up.
  • Concurrently enrolled High School Enrichment Students may use the web application, but must submit an approved Permit to Enroll form before registering for classes. How to Use the Cuesta College Online Application
To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the [Next] button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the [Submit] button located on the left column to submit the application.
