Who Should Apply?

.         Anyone who has never attended Los Angeles Southwest College

.         Any previous LA Southwest College student who has NOT attended both the previous Fall and Spring semesters.

.         High School students over 13 years of age may also apply online.  A Special Student (K-12) Attendance Form is required.  High school students are limited to 11 units per semester (9 units in Winter Session).

You will receive a confirmation email shortly after you have submitted your online application.  If you do not receive the confirmation email in your inbox, please check your junk, spam or bulk mail folder.

International students with F-1 visas should apply through the LA Southwest College International Student Office on campus or visit the college website (http://www.lasc.edu).  Click on “Prospective Students” and then on “International Student Program”.  You may also link directly to the information by clicking on the following website address: http://www.lasc.edu/main.asp?id=103.

Application Instructions

.  Complete this online application.  After you are finished, CLICK the SUBMIT button

   located on the left column on the application and follow the directions.

.  NO FEES are charged for a California Community College admission application. 

   Fees may be charged for the additional international application from each campus.

.  REQUEST official transcripts from previous schools attended to be sent to the records

   office at the address below.

How to Use the Los Angeles Southwest College Online Application

To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the pop-up lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the Next button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen.  Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies.  If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s).  Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen.  We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved.  Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column to submit the application.
