A message from the campus:

Who Should Apply Online?

  • Anyone who has not previously attended Pasadena City College.
  • A returning PCC student (has NOT attended the most recent Fall or Spring semester). Be sure to use the same social security number (or  assigned 9-digit ID number starting with 890, 888 or 000).
  • K-12 students must re-apply for each session.

Do NOT  Apply Online:

  • Students enrolled in the current semester do NOT need to re-apply (except K-12 students).
  • F-1 Visa full time students do NOT apply online. Complete the application at the International Students website.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • April 1, 2010: Summer and Fall 2010 application period begins.
  • June 18, 2010: Summer application deadline
    (Summer session dates: 6/21 - 8/28/2010, most classes end 7/31)
  • August 27, 2010: Fall application deadline
    (Fall semester dates: 8/30 - 12/19/2010)

Application Instructions

  • Click "Begin Application" button below and complete and SUBMIT this online application. More "How to" info below.
  • Watch for your Admissions Notice email (usually in one business day)
  • NO FEES are charged for a California Community College admission application.

What Happens Next?

  • You will receive an emailed "Admissions Notice" within 24 hours with
    • your admission confirmation,
    • LancerCard ID number,
    • registration appointment time and
    • residency status (explain this)

    NOTE: You are NOT able to register for classes until you have this information.

  • Go online and complete the Steps to Register, using the link found in your email.
  • If PCC requires additional documents we will notify you by email, telephone, or mail  within 5-7 business days. After PCC receives all the required documents, we will mail you an admission confirmation and a registration appointment time.
  • Apply for a Board of Governors’ Fee Waiver or other financial aid. Go to pasadena.edu/getmoney for forms and information.

How to Use the Pasadena City College Online Application
To complete the online application, simply type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).

After you complete a screen, click the [Next] button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal.

Once you have completed the application, click the [Submit] button located on the left column to submit the application.
