California Residency
A resident of California for tuition purposes is an applicant that has established BOTH:
- Physical presence in California for one year and a day prior to the start of the application term AND
- Intent to maintain California as his/her state of legal residence
A nonresident is a student who has NOT been physically present in California for one year and a day prior to the start of the application term AND has NOT demonstrated intent to make California their state of legal residence.
